InDesign and Illustrator, directly connected.
Redakto extends your existing workflow instead of replacing it. A single script file is all it takes, with no plug-in and no server changes.
InDesign
For teams who prefer to lay out in InDesign: stories from Redakto land on the page from a panel in one click. Corrections made in InDesign go back in one click. Your paragraph styles stay exactly as they are.

- Pending stories in the panel
- Title, author, section, status and last change right inside InDesign. Filter by magazine and “pending only”.
- Onto the page in one click
- Kicker, headline, standfirst, author and body arrive in your paragraph styles. Italic and bold are kept.
- Two-way sync
- “Update” pulls the latest version, “Send to Redakto” returns corrections. The panel warns about conflicts.
- Next to no installation
- One script file for Mac and Windows. Runs in every InDesign version from CS6 to 2026.
Illustrator
As soon as the ad is finished in Illustrator, the script turns the artboard into a PDF and uploads it to Redakto. Client, issue and page are assigned in the incoming pool.

- The artboard becomes a PDF
- With bleed, fonts outlined on request. Your document stays untouched.
- The incoming pool
- The ad waits unassigned. For the designer, the job ends with sending it.
- Client and placement plan
- In the pool you pick the client card and enter issue and page. In Design, the ad sits in its place.
- Email lands in the pool too
- Attachments sent to your ad mailboxes arrive in the same pool. Matching client cards are suggested.
